5 Week Body Plan

Today marks the beginning of my 5 week body plan!  This is a plan that I found in Seventeen magazine, which I bought in an airport and was so engrossed in it that I finished it before getting on the plane!  In the magazine it says that this workout plan is devised by a celebrity trainer named Harley Pastornak. I have never heard of him before, but then I don’t exactly keep up-to-date on the world of celebrity fitness.  I was reeled in by the pictures of Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, and Amanda Seyfried exercising, although it said nowhere that Harley had actually trained any of these particular stars.  But nevertheless, I turned the page and immersed myself in the world of skinny girls teaching you how to exercise through pictures.

I like this particular workout routine because it gives you something new and different to do every single day.  And this is very good for a workout plan because I’m starting to learn how boring it would actually be to do the exact same exercise every day for 5 whole weeks.  The different days in this workout each represent a different thing you are trying to achieve through the workout, such as “Monday: Get Strong!” or “Wednesday: Get Toned!”  The days are all specially color-coded just in case you forget what day it is and do another days workout.

So I myself have just completed the “Monday: Get Strong!” workout. I thought it wouldn’t be that hard, and I started by getting tons of cardio in while running around the house looking for 5-pound weights. When I had found them and carried them up the stairs (not an easy feat when also carrying an iPod, the contents of my makeup bag, and two sweaters) I started in on the workout itself, already sweating profusely. I took that as a good sign.

By the time I had finished the workout I was sweaty, gross , and my self esteem was through the roof. I can already imagine my muscles defined and fabulous.

So I will keep everybody updated on the status of my new workout regime and will definitely be posting some workout mixes and  results!
